The Maregot project, ''Management des Risques de l'Érosion cotière et actions de Gouvernance Transfrontalière '' - Interreg VA Marittimo Italia France 2014 -2020 programme, is aimed at the prevention and joint management of risks deriving from coastal erosion. The strategic project initiated a shared planning action that, thanks to a better knowledge of erosion phenomena and coastal dynamics, identified optimal intervention solutions for the management of the territory in relation to the morphological and hydrodynamic characteristics from the coast.
Starting from the analysis of the monitoring systems and the existing data, a cross-border monitoring method will be defined at the end of the project. The cross-border approach is necessary because the natural dynamics linked to the phenomena transcend national administrative boundaries and thus require a joint approach.
