Train
It 's the best way  to travel to the Cinque Terre. Trips are quite often especially during the summer season and local trains stop at all railway stations of the Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. The last stop is La Spezia, Pisa-Genova line, where they stop all long distance trains.

Car
From the A12, in the Genoa-La Spezia, you can exit at Carrodano and then drive to Levanto-Monterosso. In the opposite direction, exiting at Brugnato, you can reach Monterosso. Coming from La Spezia you can take a Coastal Road and reach Riomaggiore and Manarola. A narrow winding street, called "strada dei Santuari” (litterally road of the Sanctuaries), linking together the five villages.
To reach the village of Vernazza, as a result of  the flood of October 25, 2011, you can only use the connection with the road from La Spezia Resort.
The trail from Monterosso to Vernazza is therefore interrupted after the closure of the Provincial Reggio - Vernazza.
The road to the Sanctuary is suddenly interrupted in Drignana - Fornacchi above the village of Vernazza.
