Uncultivated lands: a recovered hill

The hill named Corniolo – a model of terraced coast recovery in the Cinque Terre, co-funded by the European Community as part of the project LIFE – was included in the ten best examples of good practices for the landscape safeguard, management and planning.

Today, the Corniolo headland, overlooking the villages of Riomaggiore and Manarola, is regarded as the flagship of the terraced areas recovery and valorisation policies, accomplished by the Cinque Terre National Park with commitment and perseverance. (read more)

Traditional Cinque Terre vineyards back to life
The National Park, together with the co-operative Agricoltura Cinque Terre aim at the reconquest of the white vineyards such as Rossese, Piccabon, Bruciapagliaio and Frappelào, which made the Cinque Terre renowned since the Middle Ages. (read more)
