The Network of Paths
The Cinque Terre National Park service cards, known as the Cinque Terre Cards, are very useful and practical for tourists travelling within the Cinque Terre Park territory. By purchasing any of the Cards, tourists contribute to the safeguard of the landscape and support the services available for local inhabitants of the five villages, who are committed to maintaining the Cinque Terre, a World Heritage Site. Visitors that wish to stay in the Cinque Terre can choose to stay in accomodation facilities that participate in the Environmental Quality Brand project (MQA). As part of the project these facilities practice environmentally friendly services for the protection of the territory and environment. The Cinque Terre National Park in its efforts to safeguard the environment is committed to recovering the uncultivated land in the area. Through this recovery project the Park has given new life to local agriculture in an area famous for its unique landscape and terracing. The Cinque Terre National Park aims towards having a sustainable tourism in the area and in support of this has set up its own Travel Agency.
