The President is appointed by a decree of the Minister of the Environment in agreement with the President of the Region.
The President is the legal representative of the Park and he coordinates its activities, he carries out the functions delegated to him by the Governing Council. He adopts urgent and postponed measures andsubmits them to the ratification of the Governing Council in the next session.
The Minister of the Environment and Land and Sea Protection, Mr Corrado Clini, decreed the appointment of the Special Commissioner of the Agency, Dr. Vittorio Alessandro with effect from 20 April 2012.
