N. 3 - Riomaggiore - Telegrafo Sentiero adatto ad escursionisti medi

Altezza 4.5 Km    Tempo 2.15 h    Tempo 1.45 h    (>Legend)

Remember that the journey on the Cinque Terre National Park paths will always occur in good climatic weather conditions, with appropriate footwear and by people with good hiking practice.

It starts from the top of Riomaggiore. In the locality called  Lavaccio we meet an old mule and a stone bridge that step over  the Rio Major. Immediately after there are some stairs. At a cross, another path follows the riverside on a slight slope. Passed the staircase we proceed more slowly on the paved road up to Bargon where it crosses the coast. Continue along the valley, but it leaves little to the right after crossing the disused vines hat become bush: you meet an aedicule with a picture of the Madonna di  Montenero. The trail passes near the fountain "dei Giandràn", and finally empties into the forecourt of the sanctuary: a wonderful observatory on the sea. Beyond a grove of oaks along a ridge vineyards, turning decisively towards Lemmen (mt 408), with its newly restored chapel. The trail passes above the landslide Lemmen and then goes back up to find a viewpoint where, among the sandstone, is placed a cross. Here the climb ends: up to the saddle of the Telegraph (mt 513) the trail runs.
