Path 571 has its lower end at the same point where the Sentiero Verde-Azzurro 591, from Levanto al Mesco, ascends on a paved road at an altitude of 163m. In this case, the road should be travelled backwards, in the direction of Levanto, for about 200m, until it takes a branch off to the right, a dirt service road from C. Massola and C. Faraggiana. After passing the last houses and a few hairpin bends, you arrive at a relatively large flat area at an altitude of 308, known as "Ciegheza". From here, the route becomes a real path, climbing the north-western ridge of Monte Focone until it reaches its summit (488 m). The path descends on the opposite ridge until it path 591 between Colla del Bagari and S. Antonio al Mesco.
