Quality label and ISO 14001

Tools to improve the environmental performances of the Park Authority and of the accommodation as well as food-and-beverage facilities

According to the Presidential Deliberation no. 98 of 22 December 2014, the Cinque Terre National Park has started a pathway aimed at improving the environmental performance of the economic activities, fostering joint sustainable behaviors regarding the environmental themes and the quality of the services implemented by all the "stakeholders".
Following the achievement of the ISO 14001:2004 certification (Italian text), and in preparation for the EMAS registration, the Park Authority boosts voluntary certifications, such as the "Marchio di Qualità Ambientale" (Environmental Quality Label), a fundamental instrument to create a complementary territorial system with which the operators working in the accommodation and food-and-beverage facilities, the agricultural producers and the businesses contribute to improve their own environmental performances, developing high quality standards. Joining the System is a voluntary choice and is free of charge, and it is open to the accommodation and food-and-beverage facilities working within the Protected Area's borders.
