At about 259 meters a.s.l. the trails divide, and trail 536 keeps climbing down a stairway toward the hamlet of Monesteroli.

The descent is extremely steep (although well-kept), with some 100% grade spots, this makes the path astonishingly panoramic, but those who suffer from vertigo are advised against this hike. Before arriving at Monesteroli, a tabernacle dedicated to Saint Pantaleon can be spotted along the trail. From the small village, without a church, you can descend to the sea in two ways: the first goes through a private property, and leads near the mountain cliff, at the exit of the Buggi tunnel; the other, today difficult to walk through due to small landslides, needs to descend to the left after the last building.

Points of Interest:

  • Localities crossed: Monesteroli
  • Architectural, historical and artistic Beauties: Monesteroli stairway called "Scala Grande"
