From 2 to 4 June, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the entrance to the Monterosso-Vernazza stretch of the Green Blue path (SVA) will be allowed only with departure from Monterosso and exit at Vernazza. In this stretch, steepness and narrow passages can represent a risk for walkers and cause traffic jams at high flows
The information and control point for access to the SVA path from Monterosso has two garrisons: one near the historical centre (in the former railway signal box) and the other in Corone. On the Vernazza side, the garrisons will be installed along the three access points to the path in the main street of the village (Via Roma) and at the Park’s information point in Lama.
At the access points, Carabinieri forestali, CAI volunteers, Carabinieri Association, Voluntary Ecological Guards and Operators of the ATI 5 Terre will be present to provide information and check suitable clothing and footwear for the 4 km long stretch, with a difficulty: EE - for expert hikers and a positive difference in height of 217 m.
Access to the SVA path in the Monterosso-Vernazza-Corniglia stretches requires the purchase of the Cinque Terre Card service card
Please refer to the Hiker’s Vademecum with advice and simple rules for the best trekking experience along the Park’s path network.
On the Park’s Web App at the link and in the path section at the link , you can find all information on trekking itineraries and their accessibility (about 130 km of coastline, hillside and ridge trails, as well as their vertical connections)
The qualified staff of the Reception Centres at the Cinque Terre railway stations, including La Spezia and Levanto, will be happy to provide you with information materials, advice, and directions.
